Sometimes we meet people and they make such a wonderful and positive impression on you.  Because of my passion for kindness and empathy (The Empathy Campaign on Facebook), I'm always on the look-out for such individuals - and I always find them.

And I guess, by now, a number of people know that I love to promote other (deserving) people.  

I met Shareefa Christley, a few weeks ago, after becoming acquainted on Facebook.  A total stranger to me at the time, I noticed that she was sharing details about my upcoming event and some of my other updates on Facebook, on her page.  And then I had the pleasure of meeting her a few weeks ago.  And the rest, as they say, is history.

"My love affair for travel in Africa began in 1965. My Dad was an explorer. He travelled through the most remote places and jungles on his intrepid journeys through Mozambique and surrounding  northern countries.

From childhood, I  have appreciated different cultures, an attitude encouraged by my father, who spoke as he was inspired through our travels to foreign lands.

I fell irretrievably in love with the people, culture and landscapes along my journeys of new discoveries.

During the remote explorations I was bitten by bugs, mosquito’s, seen indigenous snakes, danger encounters with crocodiles, hippos and sharks… believe it or not but I was continuously humbled by the generosity of the local tribes as they took us into their shelters.
